Mitchell Park Juniors takes on the world again in 2012

This year looks likely to be a hotly contested year as three of our young high achievers are set to take on the world again this year.

Scott, Jonny and Rebecca will travel to Australia in April this year to compete in the Aussie Junior series.

Scott and possibly Jonny and Rebecca will then travel to Malaysia in May/June to compete the Penang Junior open and the Milo All star championship in Kuala Lumpur

Jonny and possibly Scott (as an individual) will travel to the World Junior Boys championships

Scott will then travel Northern Territories in September to contest the Australian U15 nationals title where he came 3rd in 2011.

Scott will then travel to the UK in December 2012 to play in the Scottish and British Junior opens.

Three Mitchell Park Juniors are set to take on the world in 2011

Three of our own outstanding Juniors are to take on the world in 2011.

SCOTT GALLOWAY just returned from the UK where he contested the Scottish and British Junior opens.

Scott is only twelve and competed in the U13 divisions at both tournaments.

At the Scottish Junior Open he took gold, winning the U13 division without loosing a game and only conceeding 19 points for the whole tournament.

At the British Scott managed to reach the semi finals after beating the 4th seed in 5. Scott achieved a 4th placing over all and now ranks 4th in the world for the U13s

Scott intends travelling to Australia in April and Malaysia in June to attempt winning the U15 divisions at these tournaments. Scott is 12 and a B1 player.

REBECCA BARNETT has been selected to play in the Junior world champs this year and has been training hard in the NZ elite team. Rebecca is 17 and an A grade player.

JONATHAN BARNETT has been selected to play in the Junior world champs NEXT year and has been selected for the NZ elite team for 2011. Jonny is 17 and an A grade player.
